Meet Dr. Kelly

Hi, I'm glad you're here.

People often ask me why I became a therapist.

It wasn't because I wanted to free people from pain or offer a perfect solution to every problem. Rather, I've always been fascinated by each person's story—their childhood experiences, joyful and painful memories, relationships, and the many ways life shapes who they become.

I believe we all have an inner child that can be rediscovered, healed, and nurtured. Watching my clients gain insight, find healing, and become a healthier version of themselves reminds me why I chose this profession. It is incredibly rewarding to witness even a small shift that can create a positive, lasting impact on someone's life.

Over the years, I've learned that while every story is unique, many people share a common hope: to feel understood, heal, seek clarity, and build a more fulfilling life.

My role isn't to tell you how to live your life. Instead, I work alongside you to better understand what's getting in the way, recognize unhealthy patterns, and develop practical tools you can use in your day-to-day life. I tailor therapy to your unique needs by drawing from psychodynamic psychotherapy, CBT, EMDR, trauma-informed care, solution-focused therapy, and other evidence-based approaches.

Before opening my private practice, I worked in healthcare and community mental health. I also taught graduate-level psychology at Pepperdine University and provide leadership and communication training for organizations. Together, these

experiences have broadened my perspective as a therapist.

Outside of work, I enjoy singing, playing the guzheng, gardening, practicing Pilates and meditation, and spending time with my family. Life gets busy and routines can fall out, but I always try to return to the things that keep me grounded and bring me joy.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about me. I hope this has given you a better sense of whether we may be a good fit, and I look forward to working with you!
